Voting Reluctantly (An Unpopular Opinion)
I am an American.
I am voting.
Reluctantly.
I'm voting for Kamala Harris because Trump isn't an option at all due to his platform on immigration, abortion rights, etc, etc, etc. I cannot say that I'm thrilled with voting for Kamala and refuse to be "all in" for her just because she identifies as female and a person of color; that would be blind. And yet, as a Latina I cannot (absolutely, cannot) choose the other candidate, so it will be Harris and I guess this is the best we can do. It's like a very bad game of ping pong.
Our two party system bites.

As soon as I take the oath of office, we will begin the largest deportation operation in the history of our country," he (Trump) told a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan last month, repeating a promise that has become a familiar part of his rallies. (NPR)My hesitancy and trepidation is due to this fact: Biden is wearing the shell of the Democratic Party right now and it would just be given to Kamala to wear in order to further the Democratic (and all-American) policy of continuing to fund a terrorist group in murdering innocent people: Gaza, Lebanon, etc, etc. And it is heartbreaking to watch and to know we fund this atrocity.
America funds Israel. Does this make America a terrorist organization? We have to ask ourselves: what are we creating by causing chaos, instability, and horror in a place where people have nowhere to go?
To me, this is a huge conflict that we should not be bankrolling and never should have to start. Like, I'm talking way back. We should have never been a part of this conflict.

The Israeli military has forced Palestinians to enter potentially booby-trapped houses and tunnels in Gaza to avoid putting its troops in harm’s way, according to an Israeli soldier and five former detainees who said they were victims of the practice. (CNN)I am an American.
I am voting for Kamala Harris.
Reluctantly.
